The collars that spray citronella into the dog’s face seem to be the most effective, but these do have drawbacks because of the microphone that picks up other sounds that could activate the spray. This defeats the purpose of using it to train the dog when it should stop barking. The varieties of this type of collar that is best for training is one that you activate through a hand held remote every time the dog barks and you want it to stop.
