If you are like most dog owners, you are
likely fielding complaints on a regular basis about your dog’s barking.
Hitting and screaming at a dog is not only inhumane; it is ineffective.
The bark collars that are on the market do many things. You can simply use
a collar that will take all of the work out of trying to train your dog to
stop barking. This bark control collar can't be set off by other noises or
another barking dog.
The better bark collars have up to 18 levels of correction. These collars
travel through range setting and each range offers are six automatic
correction levels that you can choose from. It works like this: On the
first bark, your dog will get the lowest, mildest correction. The
corrections gently increase with each successive bark until your dog finds
the level that is effective enough to stop it from barking. That is
certainly a life saver for most trainers.
If you want to give yourself and your neighbors a break from complaining,
it is best to train the needless barks out of your dog. Many of the bark
collars send a jolt of electricity to the dog that is harmless. These
collars are more for the surprise factor and are not painful. However, if
you are really concerned, you can use the citronella spray bark collar
instead which only sprays the dog with citronella that is completely safe
for your pet and not at all poisonous.
