Bark Different Dog

***

No Dogs bark alike. Each type of dog has a specific way of communicating through barks. In part, this is based on the dog’s personality. In part, different dog breeds bark differently because they have been trained to bark for different purposes. Some dog breeds, for example, have been bred to act as guard dogs, and their bark necessarily sounds different than a toy dog’s bark. Size of dog breed also varies, with lager dogs also having a deeper bark than smaller breed dogs.

Different dogs also have a different bark for specific moods. Learning to read the different types of bark your dog produces is an important part of learning to communicate with your pet. The most common types of different bark a dog will use to communicate include:

•The warning bark: Most types of warning bark are short, loud, and deep. Different dogs will bark a warning in different ways, but most will increase the speed of barking as the perceived threat approaches. Different dogs will also deepen or sharpen their bark as the threat draws nearer.
•The agitated or lonely bark: Usually caused by separation anxiety or loneliness, this bark is often very persistent and may become increasingly whiny as time continues. Different dogs react to separation or loneliness in different ways, but if your pet reacts with barking, you need to step in and teach your dog not to bark.
•The excited bark: Puppies and different dogs in play will often execute a sharp, high bark. Because it is easy for a dog to get carried away with this type a bark, you may want to calm your dog down with a little rest from play once the excited bark starts up.
•The communicative or identifying bark: Different dogs use this bark to communicate with other dogs, especially at a distance. This type of bark tends to be spaced apart, almost as though the dog were waiting for a reply before barking again. This bark tends to be varied and loud.
