Barking Collar Dog Shock

***

In some cases the only want to stop a dog from barking is to use a collar that gives the dog a shock. Shock collars are often used when training dogs to behave in a certain manner and especially when trying to control the dogs’ barking habits. These collars consist of two components – a receiver attached to the collar and a hand-held remote. The collar is suitable for all kinds of weather so even if you are walking in the rain, no harm will come to the dog while wearing it. They are used to control any misbehavior that you want to correct in your dog.

For barking the collar that gives the dog a shock is activated by the remote that you hold in your hand whenever the dog barks inappropriately or excessively. It is normal for dogs to bark to alert there owners that there is someone outside, but once the barking goes on and on, you need to take care of the problem. With the shock collar, you can activate the collar to deliver a slight shock to the dog after a certain number of barks. After a while, the dog will learn only to bark several times.

If you are walking in the park and the dog start to bark at other dogs or people, the hand held remote will stop the barking. Again, the dog will eventually learn when it is appropriate to bark and when it is not. The collar and the shock are safe for dogs and will not harm them in any way. You should always condition the dog to wear the collar by putting it on when he is doing something that he enjoys and when you have no intention of delivering a shock. If you only put the collar on when you want to do training, the dog will come to associate the collar with punishment and will not learn the behavior you want to teach him.
