Just what is it about coffee houses and tea
rooms? Theyre springing up all across the city, and now theyre even
opening up for your dog. Thats right- Barking Collar Dog Stop is a café
for you and your favorite canine. Now open at their first, flagship
location at Yonge and Eglinton, Barking Collar Dog Stop is the perfect
place to spend the afternoon or catch some quick refreshment after a walk.
Owner and operator Molly White says she hates when she cant take her dog
into a restaurant or café with her, Barking Collar Dog Stop is my
reaction to the many places here in the city that no longer allow dogs
inside. Pets are a huge part of peoples lives. I dont go anywhere
without my pups. My restaurant is the first of its kind, and allows owners
and their dogs the freedom to spend time together while meeting new people
and enjoying great coffee.
Barking Collar Dog Stop features Whites line of organic, flavored coffees
and fresh baked goods for the humans, as well as a special line of treats
for your dog.
The emphasis on friendly service and the clean quiet décor
of the place make for an entirely enjoyable experience- if you dont mind
the occasional inquiring sniff from the canine clientele.
We come here every Sunday after our walk, says George Watson, a Forest
Hill resident who frequents Barking Collar Dog Stop with his Jack Russell
Terrier, LaFru, Its as much of a treat for the dogs as it is for the
people. The staff is great, the coffees fresh and theres always the
antics of the animals to keep the place in a great laughing mood.
So next time you and your dog are thinking of trying something new, try
Barking Collar Dog Stop- itll be hard to tell who enjoys it more, you or
your dog.
